IPMAT is an aptitude examination conducted by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak for admission students who have just completed their 12th. CAT is known as a common admission test. This exam is conducted for admission of undergraduates to post-graduate programs. The test consists of three-part verbal ability and reading comprehension, data interpretation and logical reasoning, and at last quantitative ability. This is a three-hour examination. The quantitative ability of the IPMAT exam is much tougher than CAT because it contains more word problems that consume a lot of time to answer. But verbal ability in CAT is more difficult than IPMAT because the verbal based in CAT are inference based and require more understanding.
