Parx online casino was rebranded recently to betPARX. The official announcement was made by Parx’s parent company Greenwood Gaming Entertainment. The casino achieved this through a partnership with Playtech, a leading gambling software developer in the world. The new look product is now availing sports betting and online casino apps to bettors in PA and beyond.
The journey to an upscale hotel amenity has just begun
The desire by Parx to start a hotel business began several years ago. Since 2010, the casino has undergone several phases of upgrades. Since then, it has yet to offer accommodation services to customers. Its main upgrades include the $50 million expansion project that began in 2017. The casino recently added the Xcite Center entertainment venue.
The hotel project is already rolling out, but it is still far from becoming a reality. It must meet several other township land development deliberations. The residents may display resistance to the project, which is another hurdle to tackle. There is no tentative time frame given yet, but it will be publicly known once all approvals are done.
What features will Parx Casino hotel have?
The main hotel feature will be a connection to the Parx casino. There will be several loading zones for guests, an event lawn, and a two-story hotel ballroom. It will have parking for people with disabilities, an additional ultra-modern parking, and signage.
This will help the casino and hotel management gain confidence in its vision of giving all Americans a facility they can identify with. The hotel will feature 15-story amenities that will extend to about 6 acres of casino land. The facility will be built close to the Parx East racetrack and will cover 71,681 square feet.
Parx is a fast-growing casino in Pennsylvania
Parx Casino opened its doors to the public in December 2006, just a month after Mohegan Sun opened. Although the casino went through different challenges, it managed to overcome them. Today, the casino is growing fast and recording impressive revenue year after year. A report by PA Gaming Control Board shows the gambling sector in the state generated more than $389 million in June 2022.
Parx’s revenue in the month was over $52 million. It is leading in revenue generated from slot games after recording $31 million. It is still early to comment on the impact the hotel will have on the casino, but the project is yet to receive criticism from any individual or organization since its approval.
