Supermicro offers a premier portfolio of Big Data storage solutions that are optimized for cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Supermicro introduces a new generation of big data storage systems that offer an extraordinary mix of performance, efficiency, and reliability.
These designs employ higher density, fan-less configurations, and optimized power supplies that improve efficiency, lower cost per GbE port, and maximize the number of GbE ports. Supermicro’s new generation of big data storage systems supports a broad range of software-defined storage (SDS) architectures featuring NVIDIA NVLinkTM interfaces for maximum bandwidth between CPUs and GPUs.
High-Density Server
The new 4U SuperServer 1028GQ-TRT supports 8 x 3.5″ hot-swap HDDs or SSDs and up to 24 DIMM slots in a 2U footprint. Customers can build the highest performing and most power-efficient systems for their Big Data and HPC applications using the dual Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, which support up to 2TB of memory per server node. The server also includes two redundant 1620W (upgradeable to Platinum) hot plug power supplies for space-efficient configurations that are ideal for data centers.
5G Core
Supermicro’s new generation of 5G core systems are based on the company’s 4-layer 4U rack mount chassis and include up to 24GB of DDR4 ECC memory, 96 hot-pluggable DDR4 DIMM slots, and a total of 8x 3.5″ hot-swap HDDs or SSDs. Each server node’s 4GHz dual Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors can support up to 2TB of high-performance ECC RDIMMs.
Private 5G
The Supermicro private 5G is built on the company’s 4-layer 4U rack mount chassis and features up to 24GB of DDR4 ECC memory, 96 hot-pluggable DDR4 DIMMs with 2x10GbE ports, and up to 8x 3.5″ hot-swap HDDs or SSDs.Per server node, a single Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor supports up to 1 TB of fast read/write high-performance ECC memory. The systems are ideal for use in data centers where remote desktops and applications need to access local storage without overprovisioning or compromising throughput performance.
Server for High-Performance Computing
Supermicro’s new generation of HPC systems combines a wide range of high-performance Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors with NVLinkTM and SXM2 GPU support. The 4U SuperServer 1029GQ-TR supports up to two Tesla V100 GPU accelerator cards and 24 DDR4 ECC DIMM slots in a 2U form factor while consuming only 127W per node. These systems are great for customers who want to run high-power applications on their standard x86 infrastructure without additional software requirements.
Enterprise Server
The enterprise systems use up to 18-core Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, as well as advanced NVMe storage with up to 12x 3.5″ hot-swap HDDs or SSDs.These servers support a wide range of high-performance configurations and protocols, including the ability to stack multiple SXM2 modules for up to 24 NVMe drives per node.
Storage Appliance
All-flash storage appliances are the future of storage solutions that can transform how companies manage their data while lowering cost per GB, increasing performance, and reducing TCO by 50% or more. In addition, these all-flash storage appliances are a perfect fit for hyperscale and Big Data IaaS cloud deployments.
Rack Server
The leading rack-mount server solutions deliver an award-winning combination of performance, efficiency, and reliability. Supermicro’s rack servers support the latest Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors and offer options for up to 1 TB of high-performance ECC memory per server node. Server nodes also support up to 48 hot-pluggable HDDs or SSDs in a 2U chassis, enabling customers to build large systems that are exceptionally powerful and perform well with demanding workloads.
HPC Solution
Two Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors and up to 2TB of ECC DDR4 memory are housed in a 4U chassis that can accommodate up to eight 3.5″ hot-swap HDDs or SSDs.
Supermicro provides a comprehensive portfolio of storage solutions for the hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) market.
