Madhya Pradesh High Court conducts the MP Judiciary Exam every year for selection of the eligible candidates for Judicial Magistrate First Class or Civil Judge Grade II judge.  Candidates between 21 and 35 years of age, who have completed their Bachelor of Law (LLB)  from a university recognized by the government or bar council, can apply for this exam. MP Judiciary 2021 Exam Selection Procedure

There are three phases in the exam, the Preliminary phase, Mains, and the final interview phase. This ends with the document verification process.

The preliminary test of this exam is just conducted for screening the candidates for the Mains exam. There are a total of 150 questions in the prelims exam, from different subjects, i.e. General awareness, Constitution, Acts, Codes, Computer knowledge, and English. The total marks are 150 for this test.

The Mains exam includes questions from Civil Laws and Procedure, Criminal Laws and procedure, a section for judgment writing, and a section for writing skills, court practice, and knowledge on current legal knowledge. Each of these four sections is of 100 marks and 3 hours duration.

Both the prelims and mains phases are conducted in online mode, but the Mains exam has four papers with descriptive questions. Selection for the posts completely depends on the performance in the final round, that is, the interview.
